The Ashton Memorial - A Personal Favorite
Williamson Park is one of Lancaster's highlights, rolling green grass, wooded paths, a pond (complete with fountain and bridge) a butterfly house - and sitting as the jewel in the crown, the Ashton Memorial.
Built as a monument to his late wife by Lord Ashton, the Ashton Memorial stands at the crest of the hill upon which most of Lancaster is built. From the viewing gallery you can see across the bay to the Lake District, all of Lancaster and the river Lune snaking through, if your lucky on the day maybe even the Blackpool Tower or the Isle of Man.
It is a grand and picturesque setting for a wedding ceremony and is extremely photogenic inside, outside and throughout the park. Perhaps my favorite venue for a wedding shoot! A smart choice too for those concerned of potential bad weather as the ground floor is extremely spacious. 5 shiny gold stars from Tall Order Photography!
