Understanding Head Shots
Head Shots literally constitute the vital first impression to Agents, Casting Directors and Producers. The Entertainment industry has expectations and standards when it comes to Head Shots and modelling portfolios.
Fine Art Photographer Phillip Gibbs has a detailed understanding of Commercial and Theatrical Head Shots for both British and American standards. He provides advice on hair, makeup and dress and will shoot according to individual requirements.
Location
Your Head Shot shoot can take place in a studio, on location or in your own home, depending on your wishes and professional aims.
Coverage
Phillip will conduct a brief consultation, discussing your professional aims and what you desire from the photography. The shoot will last approximately one hour, no additional charges will be made for slight over-runs. There will be no limits imposed upon costume changes or the number of photographs taken. Afterward a viewing session will take place where you choose your favourite images. Those images will be subject to free retouching, including minor digital enhancement and blemish removal.
There are no hidden charges, booking fee or session time fee. The only restraint is that you must choose at least 5 photographs on PhotoCD.
Head Shot Prices
PhotoCD
The PhotoCD features 5 of your chosen Head Shot photographs as standard. A written Copyright-Release is also provided, legally allowing you to copy, print and email the images from the PhotoCD yourself. As stated above, each chosen image will be digitally enhanced. The image files will be JPEGs and provided in both a low and medium resolution, suitable for emailing and printing respectively.

If you wish to have your Head Shots professionally printed, Tall Order Photography can provide three paper options: Matt, Gloss or Metallic finishes. Advice can be given with regard to appropriate selection.

Comp Cards
Also known as a Zed Card (in the USA,) the Comp(osite) Card is a hybrid of the business card and a photographic portfolio. Often featuring more than one image, the Comp Card displays photography on the front and the performers vital statistics & contact details on the reverse. These cards are distributed to agents, casting directors and producers, providing an instant and highly visual reference to the performer.

The Head Shot Portfolio Album comes complete with 12 photographs, printed at 8x10. The album design is simple and professional, featuring a tactile black cover and rigid carded pages. The purpose of the Head Shot Portfolio Album is to allow you to immediately demonstrate a variety of 'looks' in one brief, high quality presentation.
